Return from Vacation
The family and I had a nice time on vacation. We were able to see some family and friends in Missouri, and we visited Grandpa in Texas.

Updating Delays
I have been terrible at updating our site recently. It actually started when I began working out at the canyon. It took a while to get used to the new job. About the time that I was getting used to things and all of the major projects were wrapping up, I left there to go back to the district. I think I am starting to get some of the things with the district lined out. So, hopefully I'll begin updating a little more often.

Road Conditions
If you've ever been to Grand Canyon West, you've likely traveled the winding dirt road known as Diamond Bar. I start down Diamond Bar at about 6:30 this morning, and I turned around about 8 miles down the road at about 7:15. The rain had made the road rough up to that point, but I came across a rut in the road about a foot and a half deep. I had serious doubts that the Corolla was going to make it out the other side.
