The battery in the PowerWheels Jeep has been dead for quite a while. We finally replaced the battery. The kids, mostly Lexi and Drew, now have a renewed interest in the Jeep. Actually, it was Drew that prompted us to get the new battery. He loved sitting in it.

The Rooster
Grandpa was asked by one of our neighbors if we would like a chicken. Apparenly, they had too many roosters, and they were picking on one another. So, Cass and Grandpa decided that a rooster would make a good addition to the family. Hopefully, he'll eat some of the grasshoppers that keep eating the grass during the summer.

A New Job for Me
I was officially named the Network Administrator for the school district today. I have been the acting network admin for about a month now, but now I'll have the title to match. If you're thinking, "Good for him. He'll be getting a good raise!", you're wrong. I'm not actually getting much of a raise, but I am getting a title that will hopefully help me down the road.

My Kids are Home
I knew that it was going to be a rough week and a half the day I got back from taking them to the airport. I stayed at work longer than I needed to stay, and I watched a lot of Bowl Games. Here is a picture of some of the family that Cass was able to visit.

My Family Went on Vacation
Cass and the kids left this morning to visit family in Missouri. I had to stick around town in order to take care of any network issues that may arise during thier time away. The previous network administrator left KUSD for a better paying job.
